She started off her day with the house decorated and her door covered with streamers. She's been talking about being four for months now so she was so excited to have her day finally arrive!
We stuck with the amount of guests per years old and it worked wonderfully. She had lots of fun and was very adamant on being able to call the shots. Mostly when it came to Audrey and Reese and what they could and couldn't do at her party. Thanks to her little friends for coming and making her day! The pictures of everyone with their gifts is so we can give them a picture with the thank you cards.
The party started out with a little game of duck, duck, goose; followed by some painting, playing with their giant punching balloons, eating cake and opening presents. Before we knew it it was time to take everyone home!
Elle's so sweet. Her personality can be larger than life at times and we all love her so much. She brings such life and happiness into our family.
Tonight at bedtime she said to me, " I know why it gets dark at night". I said oh yeah? why? She said because the sun has to go shine somewhere else. I know because I see it leave the sky."
I thought that was so cute and pretty smart of her to figure out. We talked about how in other places on the earth it's day time when we're asleep. We can't wait to see all the new discoveries she's going to make!

Happy Birthday Elle! You are a beautiful, sweet, fun girl!
(your backgrounds are cracking me up--I also had this one on my blog for one day before changing it to something that matched our pics a little better!)

GOOD idea to invite as many children as the age of the birthday girl!!! I'm going to have to remember that for next time!!! She's such a cutie!!!
