This is my sweet Grandma, Helen. Friday we were lucky enough to spend the day with her. Our adventures for the day included going to the salon, getting groceries and going to lunch at Nordstrom. Grandma loved getting out especially right after her hair was set and ready to go!

Grandma is 91 and still lives on her own in the condo. Isn't she beautiful?! I hope to look that great (especially with no makeup!) when I'm her age.

While we were waiting for Grandma to get her hair done, Elle and I found a very decadent cupcake to keep her busy. I didn't want to get the Salon all messy, so she was banned to the sidewalk. It's hard to know exactly what it is, but Elle and Grandma seem to have some kind of special chemistry. After she was done with her cupcake, Elle said "oh I need to hurry! I can't wait to see Grandma's hair, she's so cute!" Grandma's feelings for Elle are nothing if not mutual. She's always fussing over Elle and her "beautiful dark hair." They both truly enjoy each other, and it's really cute to see.
Of course Elle insisted on sitting next to Grandma at lunch too. When we were done she said she was ready to go to Grandma's house and play with her. Elle took the walker for a spin around the house and followed it up with some ice cream together. The weather was beautiful, the sky was blue, and the leaves looked gorgeous and bright. Thanks for a great day out, we love you Grandma!
