Well, I'll just start out with saying... my mom and Dad have already scolded me for this picture. What could be wrong with taking a picture with a wonderful, well known, well respected, powerful woman of my Faith? (see Sheri Dew, center) Absolutely nothing. Their problem was how on earth could Sheri Dew possibly be so tall? I'm 5'10" and often wear heels putting me near 6 ft which would put Sheri Dew and all my friends at near giant status. The only excuse I had for myself was, you never know how close up someone will take a picture and I guess I've instinctively adjusted my height for pictures so as not to tower over everyone.., so yes, I was bent down at the knees, and I will (as per my Dad's request) never do it again!
Alright, with that item of business out of the way... I'd like to share what an awesome experience I had this last weekend. The occasion was called Time Out For Women. It was a motivational weekend filled with insightful speakers and inspiring music. I count myself blessed to attend an event of this magnitude. There were about 3,300 women in attendance and it really was an uplifting experience. I think each of us left feeling better than when we came. I was also lucky enough to be a volunteer for the event which resulted in something everybody loves, free tickets!! Going with this wonderful group of girlfriends made the weekend that much more exciting and fun. We decided to stay in a Hotel downtown ( I had to be back to help at 7:15 am)Although, I mistakenly thought we were all mature enough to sleep in the same room and do just that, sleep! Not much sleep was had, but we did have a lot of great conversations. It was so much fun, thank you ladies!
Also, thanks to the wonders of FaceBook, I was able to reconnect with my childhood friend, Chrislyn. Which in turn resulted in my being introduced to this wonderful event and getting asked to volunteer at the venue. I was more than happy to be asked and even happier to be involved. Thank you for the opportunity Chrislyn! Call me again anytime!

Really wonderful. So glad you were able to go. I love Women's Conference for this same reason and haven't missed it since we moved back. No more slouching lady. :-)
SO funny about your automatic squat for pictures! At just not-quite 5'6, it's not something I ever have to worry about! TOFW was a great time. Thanks for letting me tag along.
True, true, and true! Stop Squatting!!! Who cares if one night a year we act like 13 year olds. . .sleep is over -rated!
