Make it Work!

To those who are fans of the TV show Project runway, I'm sure this post title rang a bell right away. Tim Gunn, Project Runway's host and fashion expert; was believe it or not, hosting a fashion show right here in our hometown. A fashion show in which I was privileged to work at. Although I wasn't one of the ( 5 female or 5 male )  models chosen by the NY based company to walk in the show, I was hired ( based on my resume/headshots! :) to assist with the clothing and do promotional work with Tim Gunn and for Lucky Jeans following the show.

I would like to say that Tim Gunn was very nice in person and seemed exactly the same as he does on TV. When I met him I happily said, "Hi Tim!" then feeling a little self-conscious, I said, "I guess I sounded like I know you but I don't." To which he followed with "well you do know me! "

It was great fun and a great privilege to work this event. Maybe one of the best moments was when my friend Rachelle ( the blond, pictured below ) received a compliment on her shirt from Mr. Gunn. He said, " I like your shirt, who is it?" (meaning who designed it)  - She didn't know what to say because she got it at Ross! So she stumbled and simply said, "department store" . Possibly one of the best random responses anyone could've given. We teased her and said she should've told him she made it! (not really - musn't lie) I actually wish she would've just said " I got it at Ross! " I wonder if T.Gunn even knows what Ross is?

It was definitely a memorable experience and one that I won't be forgetting anytime soon

So awesome, Kim! Looks like a neat experience!

And you all are so neat to bring a basket to Verna! I'm sure she (and especially Camilla) loved it!
