Fun 4th weekend!

We've been having a fun filled summer, and the 4th of July weekend was a highlight! Our friends the Corbetts and the Reeds invited us along for some motorcycle and four-wheeling in the hills up by our house. Everyone had a great time and I confirmed what I already knew. I love riding motorcycles. Still, I think I'll wait to get one of our own until my kids are more self-sufficient. I think they like having a mommy around ;)

We stayed out until we could see the city's fireworks from the hillside, all the while keeping busy making smores.

Then there's the Sunday before the 4th. Audrey and I both love getting dressed in our patriotic colors ( and influencing the rest of the family to do so... )
Then there's the actual 4th. We started the day with a leisurely parade at 11am and then played around the neighborhood lighting fun things like snakes and smoke bombs. Had a neighborhood BBQ and headed off to the Grantsville fireworks. They were short, but good. It's fun to lay right below them. After all of that we still came home and shot off all the fireworks we'd bought with the neighbors. We were tired but it was a great day!

When I talk about lighting off all the fireworks, what I really meant was I lit off all the fireworks - Everyone knows how much I love lighting things so they were all content to sit back and enjoy the show. Which I was of course A-OK with. I may be referred to in some circles as a pyro. I prefer to think of it as an adventurous girl (woman now, I guess really ) who was raised along side many a fire-cracker throwing brother. Some things just rub off I guess.
Hope everyone had a happy fourth!!
