And... here's the conundrum. How can we bring home awesome things from our awesome trip and keep our kids from getting not-so-awesomely impaired/broken/cracked, etc?.... Why are all the fun things this way? Maybe that's what makes them so fun. I never expected that my children would try to do acrobatics ala hammock, but then again why not? I'm a mom, I should've expected it. Duly noted.
New hammock from Belize = Broken colarbone for Elle
Elle had a great time at her preschool field trip to the Dinosaur park; swept the sand away from the "bones" and ran around in every direction yelling, "mom look how huge their necks are! " It was very cute.
Lastly, we went to my sisters and upon arrival following a nice dinner out, found Audrey and her cousin Lindsey awkwardly bounding around the front yard in Moon shoes with Audrey wearing these:
She says she loves them.
Oh, and I just remebered, at the store Reese informed me, "Mom, I've got a tight schedule today."Me - "oh really?" Reese- "yeah, I need to get home, eat a PB&J with white bread ( a victory in begging skills for Reese, I never buy the stuff ) , play with Nigel, play ballooon tower defense on the computer and play with my legos." Me - "Wow, you better get on that".

Poor Elle. You guys are all so cute. Reese is so funny!
I remember getting hurt on our hammock as a kid too! Poor thing. We used to wrap our hands and feet thru the rope and swing/spin each other around and around. It was the best toy! Hopefully that's the last injury! I love your posts! And your va-cay sounded fabulous, makes me want to plan one of our own!
Cute post Mama Obama, I wish my to do list was like Reese's! Poor Elle! Hope she heals quickly!
We used to play "cacoon" in our backyard hammock growing up. I totally got a concussion from it when I was five (not so much from the swinging, as from the being sent headfirst onto the concrete patio...) Still love them, though. Cute Audrey, and seriously funny Reese.
