Is It Really Time to Come Home Now??

This was where we went for our farewell dinner, it's an old farm cottage, turned upscale restaurant that's been there since 1850. It was beautiful, and had quite the atmosphere, the food was also awesome. Inside the "Library", though there appeared to be more vintage wine bottles than books! The place had a fire going inside, so the foggy picture is because of the chimney smoke waving down.

The morning we left, we realized we hadn't even seen the famous Kiwi Birds yet! So we hustled and went to see them being fed. They are such a strange animal, we couldn't take pictures because they said they were in mating season and if the flashes distressed them, they'd abort their eggs.

Home at Last! Sam was telling me I'm the only one he knows who gets two days of Birthday, we left NZ on the 14th, at what would've been 2pm the 13th back here at home, we had three different flights, and finally got home around 6pm th 14th here, which is what would've been 2pm the 15th in NZ.. So we were traveling for 27 hours total to get back home, with all the layovers, etc... So forgive me if I look a little haggered in this pic, I wasn't able to sleep on the longest flight of 13 hrs either, so this is the look of glazed- over- eyes- tired..

The Kids were so sweet! They were so excited to have us home and couldn't wait to eat the B-Day cake they'd help to make. Vacation's always great but we sure missed them. A big round of applause for Mom and Dad too! They were kind enough to run the house and keep the kids while we were off playing! Thanks again Mom and Dad! We love you.

On a side note, I feel like I should share what my best present for my b-day was, and it wasn't from Sam, nor was it technically a present. Queenstown is famous for their nightlife and our last night there I could hear music and people cheering, so I said to Sam, you want to come with me? Cause I'm going. We were trying to get into see a band and they were playing in a place that required you to be of legal age to get in, the doorman saw me and said, I need to see your ID. So I headed back to the hotel thinking, ok buddy, you obviously don't know how old I'm about to turn. Anyway, I got back and showed him and he said, No way! I thought you were 22, tops! The best present a girl can get... I loved it! I was wearing a hoodie and one of my trucker hats which I'm sure helped, but hey, I'll take the compliment!

These are my V-Day - B-Day Flowers, so pretty.

What a trip of a Lifetime. My parents went there years ago. Looks like you had a great time.
